About Me

How I learned stuff:

Throughout my working career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with, and for, some exceptional business leaders. I started working at the age of 13 stocking shelves and packing groceries in my father’s store. When I was just starting out as a front line producer, I figured out how to make myself most valuable by accepting challenges and doing whatever I could to achieve them. Later in my career, as a C level executive in 3 different companies, I understood that successes came from building a strong and committed team with a laser focus on achieving goals. After being COO in two different technology companies, I left the “corporate world” in 2005 and, with a business partner, ran a successful international marketing company. My final entrepreneurial sprint was as a business partner in a real estate investing company where we focused exclusively in multi-family residential development and rentals.

How my brain works:

I’ve always been a bit of a propeller head. My formal education was in Computer Science, way back when we programmed in languages like Cobol and Fortran. At one point, I could code in some 20 languages. Today, I continue to challenge myself with new technologies and just about have some “personal project” on the go.

What makes me tick:

On the personal side, my wife and I got married in 1987. She keeps me grounded and balanced, and I am blessed. We have two confident, independent, and smart-as-hell kids who make me proud on a daily basis. I keep myself in exceptionally good physical condition and enter at least one triathlon a year (although, truth be told, I am pretty slow). I participate and volunteer in my community and actively enjoy the simpler sports like curling and lawn bowling.

At my core, I have an incredible passion for sharing what I know and helping others grow and succeed.
